Casting Discs Which to Use

We have rationalised the range of casting discs that we offer.

After much testing and mould making we have 2 main types of disc now available.

1. Silicone discs both general & low temperature. These are more expensive but are easier to use if you are just starting out in mould making.They can be used for master moulds and production moulds.

Use low temperature cream discs if your masters are greenstuff, putties, 3D resin prints or plastic.

Use general purpose if your masters are metal.

2. Black Organic discs in various hardnesses. These are cheaper but more difficult to use ideal for more experienced mould makers and to keep production costs down. They are for use as production disc moulds.
